“It was my first time meeting with Karakolero and I immediately felt a connection with him as a photographer. He knew the right feel for the photo and where to shoot, plus has great ideas that weren’t just “cliche”. He was good at directing the shoot but was always very free and open with letting me voice my own opinion or creative ideas. I think each of his pictures seem beautifully unique and have a slightly edgy/sharp vibe as well as coming out really strong.”

My shoots with Joan have always been a blissful experience. Joan is a easy-going and talented guy that is open to a wide creative spectrum and has a keen eye for details and composition. Especially his photography with the analogue camera stands out a lot due to is unique coloring and the retro feeling that comes along with it. Whenever Joan has a vision, he does everything to make that vision come to life.

À la base, on ne se connaissait pas. On a fait un shooting, et très vite, le feeling est passé. Karak est quelqu’un de passionné, sérieux dans son travail, qui sait mettre à l’aise et tirer le meilleur sans forcer. Pas besoin d’en faire des tonnes : il capte l’essentiel, au bon moment. Aujourd’hui c’est devenu un pote, et je peux dire que derrière l’objectif, c’est un vrai bosseur qui mérite qu’on fasse appel à lui.
